The Exercise Room

LET’S WARM UP WITH SOMETHING SHORT...

OBJECTS!

If you’ve read Wonderbook, you know objects in our world hold great power and great storytelling potential. The room below and the exercises delineated should help you develop more interesting ways of using objects in your fiction. The advanced exercises after that build on these initial exercises.

Below please find two additional modules for your enjoyment, both provided by writer and creative writing teacher Matthew Cheney.

OBJECTS: “NORMAL” VERSION

Care for some causality? Want a little constraint with your morning exercise. Check out these exercises, which will help you strengthen muscles you didn’t even know you had.

OBJECTS: ESOTERIC VERSION

Want something a little more out there? We’ve got that for you, too. Make sure you warm up before you try these exercises: they’ll push you to your max.
